USA Drivers License

Developers should also participate in overall efforts to protect driver's license information. For example, ensuring the data is stored only on hardened databases and ensuring websites accepting driver license information are protected against common web application attacks.
When possible, companies should avoid storing driver license images. Some regulations, like Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), require specific measures to be taken when storing images or prohibiting the storage of driver license images altogether.
When handling driver license numbers, companies should consult with the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), which offers suggestions and information about policies that determine how sensitive customer information should be handled.
